Alternative Fuels holds workshops at least once a semester. Traditionally, we will host an open workshop a few days before auditions. This way anyone who wants a leg up on the competition can attend. However, Alternative Fuels has hosted workshops for all ages, and are happy to travel to local schools. We focus on giving the basics of improvisational acting, and the skills required to become adept at it. We tailor each workshop to fit the group’s needs. Alternative Fuels holds auditions at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. We have no set number of people we are looking for each audition, but our constitution states that our troupe cannot exceed 15 members. You must be a registered Texas Tech student to audition, but that is the only requirement. We look for someone who can create good characters, work well with others, and has natural comedic abilities. We also search for someone we can train easily to be a great part of the troupe.
